Bobby Green
Bobby Green or Bobby Ray Green is a professional mixed martial artist born on September 9, 1986. He is an American who is currently signed under the Ultimate Fighting Championship and competing under the lightweight division. Green began his professional career in mixed martial arts in 2008 and had been signed under several promotions before the UFC including Affliction, Tachi Palace Fights, King of Cage and Strikeforce. He was the former lightweight champion under King of Cage. As of mid-2015, he was ranked twelfth in his division by the UFC. In addition to his fighting career, Green also appeared in television like the reality show, Bully Beatdown.
The American fighter was born in sunny San Bernardino in California. At age 5, he became a foster child. It was during his high school years at the A.B. Miller High School when he began wrestling. He was a talented fighter and placed in state tournaments. He pursued mixed martial arts while at the same time working a regular job to support his son. By 2008, he made his professional debut and by 2013, he was signed under the UFC.
Green earned several accomplishments in his mixed martial arts career. Aside from his lightweight championship title under King of the Cage, he also earned a one-time junior welterweight championship title under the same promotion as well as a one-time lightweight championship under Total Fight Alliance. On top of that, Green also earned a one-time Submission of the Night under the UFC and became the Warriors Fighting Championship 2008 Lightweight Tournament winner.
The 5-foot and 10-inch fighter comes with a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a mixed martial arts record of 30 fights with 23 wins and 7 losses.
