Frank Trigg or Dewey Franklin “Frank” Trigg III is a TV host, pro wrestler, color commentator and mixed martial artist born on May 7, 1972. The American fighter is a veteran of several promotions including World Fighting Alliance, BAMMA, Icon Sport and Rumble on the Rock as well as Pride Fighting Championships and the Ultimate Fighting Championship. In terms of his wrestling career, he made appearances in Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling.

For more than 15 years, Trigg has been involved in the combat sports industry. As a mixed martial artist, he made his professional debut in 1997 after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs and Administration. He was also a coach at that time at the University of Oklahoma before competing under Pride 8 in 1999. After only a year, he became a finalist and qualified as wrestler in the Olympics.

The 44-year old fighter was born in Rochester, New York. He stands 5 feet and 8 inches and comes with a 71-inch reach. During his active time in mixed martial arts, he fought in the welterweight and middleweight divisions and was known to use the southpaw stance. He trained with Xtreme Couture and boasts a black belt in catch wrestling, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a 2nd degree black belt in judo. He retired in 2011 and comes with a record of 30 fights with 21 wins and 9 losses.

Some of Trigg’s achievements in mixed martial arts include being inducted in the UFC Hall of Fame, a one-time welterweight championship title under World Fighting Alliance and a one-time Icon Sport Middleweight Championship title.
