Daniel Cormier, nicknamed DC, is a former professional wrestler and mixed martial arts fighter from the United States. He is a former light heavyweight and heavyweight title champion in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has also represented the United States in numerous international events, including the Olympics.

Career
He had his professional MMA debut in 2009. His first fight ended in a win against Gary Frazier for Strikeforce. In 2010, he was in 5 fights, winning all of them. In 2011, he had three fights – all wins, and one fight in 2012, which he also won. He mostly played for Strikeforce at this time.In April 2013, he started fighting for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. His first UFC fight was against Frank Mir. In October of that year, he also won against Roy Nelson. In 2014, he had two wins. He had his first professional loss in 2015. It was against Jon Jones in January of that year. In May 2014, he won against Anthony Johnson for the first time. He had a rematch against Johnson in April 2017, he won that again. This was followed by a rematch against Jones, which ended in a No Contest decision.
