The ERC Ingolstadt is a professional ice hockey team in Germany that is currently a part of the Deutschen Eishocey Liga, or the German Ice Hockey League. The team has been around since 1964, and is currently coached by Rich Chernomaz, with blue and white as the official club colors.

The team went through a period of withdrawal from the professional ice hockey in 1989, but this was mainly due to some financial setbacks that were encountered. It was in 1991 that the team managed to get back on the league and joined the Bavarian League in order to play professionally.

The team’s first game as a member of the German Ice Hockey League was against the Cologne Sharks. Unfortunately, the team lost against the Sharks, although it was a loss via a very narrow 1-2.

Although ERC Ingolstadt has a number of fantastic players, they have only one former player who has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and that is Ignaz Berndaner.
