Quebec Nordiques were a pro hockey team that played in the WHA (1972-1979) and the NHL (1979-1995). The franchise moved to Denver, Colorado in 1995 and now bears the name Colorado Avalanche.

Notable players who played for the team are: Guy Lafleur, Peter Stastny, Joe Sakic, Mats Sundin, and Michel Goulet.
