Johnny Boychuk

Johnny Boychuk is a Canadian defenseman on the Boston Bruins.

Boychuk was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 2002, after playing three season with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL. He would spend the next 5 years playing with numerous teams in the minor leagues, before making his NHL debut with the Avalanche in 2008. He played in only one game for the Avs before being traded to Boston in 2008. He spent 2008-09 in Providence, where he scored 20 goals and 65 points, while appearing in 1 game for Boston. In 2009, he signed a one-way contract with the Bruins, ensuring that he will play the 2009-10 season in the NHL.
