Oliver Ekman-Larsson

Oliver Ekman-Larsson is a Swedish defenseman on the Phoenix Coyotes.

Ekman-Larsson was drafted by the Coyotes with the 6th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft. Ekman-Larsson has spent the last four years playing in the Swedish Junior Leagues, where he has gained renown as one of the top young European defensemen. In 2008-09, he played for Leksands IF, scoring 3 goals and 17 points in 39 games. More importantly, he recorded an impressive +44 rating, earning him his high draft status.

Ekman-Larsson played for Team Sweden at the U-18 World Championships, where he recorded 2 goals and 8 points.
