Evander Kane is a Canadian center on the Atlanta Thrashers.

Kane was selected by the Thrashers with the 4th overall pick in the 2009 NHL draft. Kane played his junior hockey with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. Kane joined the Giants at the age of 15, and joined the club in 2006. The Giants won the Memorial Cup that season, but Kane played in only a few games as a fill-in for injured or suspended players. He scored 41 points in his rookie season with the Giants, But his breakout season came in 2008-09, when he finished with 48 goals and 96 points, along with 89 penalty minutes.

Kane played for Team Canada at the 2009 World Juniors, where he won a gold medal, scoring 2 goals and 6 points in 6 games.
