Joe Corvo
Joe Corvo is an American defenseman on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Corvo was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 1997, before going on to play college hockey at Western Michigan. He joined the kings in 2002, and spent 3 seasons with them, where he got a reputation as a solid offensive defenseman. He posted his best season with the Kings in 2005-06, with 14 goals and 40 points. He was signed by Ottawa in 2006, but was traded to Carolina at the 2008 trade deadline. In 2007-08, he finished with 48 points, split between the Senators and Hurricanes.
Corvo played for Team USA at the ’97 World Juniors where he won a silver medal.
