Josh Gorges

Josh Gorges is a Canadian defenseman on the Montreal Canadiens.

Gorges was undrafted, but signed with the San Jose Sharks in 2002. He played junior hockey in the WHL before joining the Sharks in 2005. Gorges was highly regarded as a top prospect in the Sharks organization before being traded to Montreal in 2007. Since coming to Montreal, Gorges has become one of the Habs’ top defensemen.

Gorges has played for Team Canada at the 2004 World Junior Championships, where he won a silver medal.
