Ales Kotalik
Ales Kotalik is a Czech right winger on the Calgary Flames.
Kotalik was drafted by Buffalo in 1998, and went on to play with HC Ceske Budejovice for the next three seasons. He joined the Sabres in 2001, splitting time between the NHL and AHL over the next few seasons. In 2005-06, he set career highs with 25 goals, 37 assists and 62 points, along with 62 penalty minutes. In 2008-09, after scoring 13 goals and 32 points in 56 games with Buffalo, Kotalik was traded to Edmonton at the trade deadline. He scored 7 goals for the Oilers in 19 games and became a free agent at season's end. He was signed by New York in the 2009 offseason, but played just 45 games with the Rangers before being traded to Calgary at the 2010 trade deadline for Olli Jokinen.
Kotalik played for the Czech Republic in the 2008 World Championships and the 2006 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in ’06.
