Erik Christensen
Erik Christensen is a Canadian center on the New York Rangers.
Christensen was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2002. He turned in an impressive season with the Kamloops Blazers in 2003, winning the WHL’s scoring title with 108 points. He joined Pittsburgh in 2005, earning a spot on their permanent roster in 2006, finishing with 18 goals and 33 points in 61 games. Christensen spent less than a full season with the Thrashers, before being traded to Anaheim near the end of the 2009 regular season. He wouldn't stay long in Anaheim, either, appearing in just 26 games for the Ducks before he was dealt to the Rangers. He had the most productive season since 2007 with New York, scoring 8 goals and 26 points while finishing with a +14 rating. Christensen solidified himself as one of the Rangers' reliable checking forwards while keeping his offense ramped up and he should be playing full time in the 2010 season.
