Karlis Skrastins is a Latvian defenseman on the Dallas Stars.

Skrastins was drafted by Nashville in 1998, after playing in the Russian Superleague and the Finnish SM-liiga. After he was drafted, he joined the Predators for 2 games in the 1998-99 season. He made the permanent roster in 2000, and played five consecutive seasons without missing a single game. In 2003, he was traded to Colorado, where he continued to play well. He was traded to Florida at the trade deadline in 2008. Skrastins appeared in 80 games for the Panthers, scoring 18 points and recording a +9 rating. He signed with Dallas for the 2009-10 season.

Skrastins has played for Latvia at 14 different international competitions, including Winter Olympics, World Championships and World Junior Championships.
