Brent Johnson
Brent Johnson is an American goalie on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Johnson was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in 1995, but never played a game with Quebec or Colorado. He began his NHL career with St. Louis, with whom he had his most productive years. In 2001-02, he started 58 games and won 34 of them, posting a 2.18 GAA. The following season, he won only 16 of his 35 starts and saw his duties decrease dramatically in 2003-04. He was moved to Phoenix for 8 games that seasons, and was eventually claimed off waivers by the Capitals, after the lockout. His duties with the Capitals were mostly in a backup capacity, as he started only 87 games over the last four seasons. Johnson signed with the Penguins to backup Marc-Andre Fleury in 2009-10.
