Patrice Bergeron is a Canadian center on the Boston Bruins.
Bergeron was drafted by the Bruins in 2003, and was touted as one of their top prospects, after posting 39 points in his rookie season. He set a career high in 2005-06, scoring 31 goals and 73 points in his first season back after the lockout. He played well again the following season, but was knocked out of most of the ’07-08 season with a concussion. He returned to action for the Bruins in 2008-09, and has been one of the key players in the franchise’s turnaround.
Bergeron played for Team Canada at the 2004 and 2006 World Championships, as well as the 2005 World Juniors. He won gold medals in 2004 and 2005.
