Kim advanced to the semis despite having lost to Scott Strange by three holes; Strange needed four holes over Kim in order to advance to the semis.

When asked about his match with Strange, Kim said, “Being aggressive suits me, but sometimes it can be your Achilles’ heel.” He continued, “Every once in a while I get that itch and I go for it.”

Aside from Kim, Masters champion Argentine Angel Cabrera also advances into the semis. He beat English player Simon Dyson by seven holes. Cabrera also made it to last year’s finals but lost to Ernie Els. This year, he will play against Ross Fisher.

Aussie player Allenby defeated Oliver Wilson of England in order to reach the semis. He will be up against Kim. He and Allenby previously met at the President’s Cup where Kim won by a significant margin.robert allenby
