Nick Folk is an active American professional football player who plays as a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL). Drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, he has spent significant time with the New York Jets and New England Patriots.

The Placekicker stands 185 cm tall, and his weight was last listed at 101 kg.He attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, where he earned honors as both a punter and a placekicker while also starring as the captain of the soccer team. Following high school, Folk accepted a scholarship to play college football for the University of Arizona. He took over starting duties as a sophomore and earned First-team All-Pac-10 honors during his 2006 senior season.

Folk grew up in Los Angeles with a strong background in soccer before focusing on football.Entering his 19th professional season in 2026, he remains one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history and ranks near the very top of the leaderboards among active players in total career field goals.
Professional Career
He joined the NFL during the 2007 NFL Draft, selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round, making him the 178th overall pick.He made an immediate impact as a rookie, making 26 of 31 field goals and earning Pro Bowl honors as well as a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Folk played with the Cowboys through the 2009 season before joining the New York Jets in 2010. During his first lengthy stint with the Jets (2010–2016), he established himself as one of the franchise's all-time leading scorers, frequently hitting clutch, game-winning kicks.
After a brief stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017 and a stop with the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) in 2019, Folk successfully resurrected his NFL career by signing with the New England Patriots.
Over four seasons in New England (2019–2022), he returned to top form, co-leading the NFL in scoring during the 2021 season and setting league records for consecutive field goals made under 50 yards. After two highly accurate seasons with the Tennessee Titans and a return to the Jets in 2025, Folk signed a two-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons in March 2026 to continue his remarkable career.
