Professional Career
He turned pro in 2022 when he was picked by the New York Jets during the first round of the NFL Draft. Chosen fourth overall, they signed him to a four-year rookie contract in May 2022. In his first year with the league, Gardner was named to the Pro Bowl.
He was also later selected to the First-team All-Pro. In his rookie year, he was also named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
