Joseph Anthony Bosa was born on July 11, 1995, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The elite pass rusher stands 196 cm tall, and carries a playing weight of 127 kg.

He attended the national powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, where he completely overwhelmed opposing offensive lines to earn First-team All-State honors and a pristine four-star recruiting status.

Enrolling at Ohio State University, Bosa played for the Buckeyes from 2013 to 2015 and established himself as a generational collegiate talent. He served as the defensive focal point of the 2014 CFP National Championship team, winning the Bill Willis Trophy and securing Unanimous All-American honors.

Bosa wrapped up his historic collegiate career as a two-time Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year, leaving an indelible mark on the program's defensive legacy.

Professional Career

Bosa was selected by the San Diego Chargers with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He finished his inaugural campaign with an incredible 10.5 sacks in just 12 games, comfortably capturing the 2016 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

In 2025, Bosa embarked on a new chapter by signing with the Buffalo Bills. Rejuvenated by a fresh defensive scheme, he put together a highly impactful campaign as a primary edge-setting anchor for Buffalo. He started 15 games and proved to be an absolute turnover machine, leading the entire NFL with five forced fumbles during the 2025 season while pushing his career sack total to 77.

Having completed his one-year stint in Buffalo, Bosa enters the 2026 free agency cycle as a highly coveted veteran pass rusher.
