LeSean McCoy
LeSean McCoy is a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He currently holds the running back position for the Buffalo Bills. He was an NFL rushing yards leader and rushing touchdowns leader.
Born on July 12, 1988 in Harrisburg, McCoy was rated as the number 11 prospect in the country while attending Bishop McDevitt High School. He went on to play for the Pittsburgh Panthers where he was considered as one of the best running backs in college football.
In the 2009 NFL Draft, McCoy was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles. He was named as one of the top ten rookies in the country. McCoy went on to win the Locked and Loaded award from ESPN for his speed in 2010. He led the league in total touchdowns and was the first for rushing touchdowns as well.
McCoy missed 4 games in the 2012 season but was still able to record 840 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He led the league in all-purpose yards during the 2013 season. In 2014, he became the all-time leading rusher of the Eagles.
He was traded to the Buffalo Bills on March 10, 2015 and was ranked 69th during in the NFL during his first season with the team. In 2016, the Bills became the league leader in running yards with McCoy’s help. During the 2017 season, he became the 30th player to go past 10,000 rushing yards in the league’s history.
His current player statistics are 10,606 rushing yards, 4.5 rushing average, 69 rushing touchdowns, 3,616 receiving yards, 15 receiving touchdowns, and 475 receptions.
