Glenn Dorsey is a professional American football defensive end player for the team of the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He used to play college ball for the Louisiana State University. Subsequently, Glenn was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs as the fifth overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

While at LSU, Dorsey was twice First-team All-American (2006, 2007) and twice the winner of the First-team All-SEC (2006, 2007). In 2007, he won the Lombardi Award, Outland Trophy, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Lott Trophy. Despite various health problems, he dominated other teams. Although he missed three games in 2007, he notched 64 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks and one forced fumble.

Dorsey is six-foot-one and 297 pounds. He explodes off the snap. In college it was virtually impossible for any team to control him one-on-one. Dorsey is an amazing athlete, especially when one considers his squatness. His motor is always running; he can penetrate backfields quickly. The DT can hold-off and rip away from blockers during a run. He shows fine instincts and intelligence. He’s not the biggest guy on the line, which could prove to be a liability in the NFL. His past injuries are a red flag. He needs to stay in great shape in order to survive the intensive NFL seasons. Dorsey does not show as much speed as other players. Still, he’s got very good tools and a lot of promise.
