The Guernsey cricket team represents the Crown dependency of Guernsey in international cricket tournaments. The team is an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 2008. The team was placed at sixth position at the World Cricket League division and second at the European Cricket Championship division. The captain of the team is Stuart Le Prevost. The first recorded match was held in 1957 against Jersey team.

International events

Guernsey has a long competition with Channel Island Jersey with whom they played inter-insular match, an annual match against each other. In 2006, they won 15 run victory and won the five consecutive times, though it was a long way to achieve success from 1992 to 2001. In 2006, they made their debut match at the European Championship finishing in the fifth place in division 2. The match was won by Norway. In 2008, this team remained in division 2.

The Guernsey team played international tournaments outside too against Namibia and Bermuda in 2005. They played more matches against Bermuda in 2006. By 2007, this team played against France along with a plan of a tour to Canada.

By 2009, the team was placed second at the Global Division Seven match, and they advanced to division six. Whilst in division six, the team finished in the fourth place and remained in division six. Some of the squad men include Stuart Bisson, Jeremy Frith, Ross Kneller, Justin Meades, Luke Nussbaumer and many more. There are also certain players who are more recognized in this team.

Two of the players even played first class cricket in another place prior to moving to this team. One is Lee Savident, who played for Hampshire from 1997 to 2000 and Amitava Banerjee, who played for Bengal from 1996 to 2000.
