The Sindh cricket team was a cricket team which represents the province of Sindh in Pakistan along with pre-partition India. The debut first class game was in December 1932 in Karachi. From 1934-35 till 1947-48, the Sindh cricket team participated in the Ranji Trophy. In 1947, Sind hosted their debut first class match to be held in Pakistan, but got defeated by 68 runs and an innings by the Punjab team.

During the Pakistan domestic cricket, the Sindh cricket team played in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy from 1954-54 to 1956-57 season. The team made sporadic appearances at the first class level till the 1970s, when two Sindh teams (Sind A and Sind B) competed in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for many years. Along with this, the province also played List A cricket in the United Bank Trophy.
The last first class match of this team was a seven wicket loss in 1979 against Habib Bank Limited. After this match, a “Sind Governor’s XI” played three matches in 1980s and another match in 2000. Then there was “Rest of Sindh” team which played in the 2001-02 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and another match at the One Day National Tournament.

The Sindh Cricket Team participated in 2007-08 Pentangular Cup and won under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi. Other teams included NWFP from Punjab, Baluchistan and Federal areas as per their respective positions. Some of the key players of Sindh Cricket team include Shahid Afridi, Khalid Latif, Fawad Alam, Danish Kaneria and many more to name a few.
