The Lahore Lions are a Pakistan Super League team which is based in Lahore in Pakistan. This team was established in 2006 and its home ground is Gaddafi Stadium. The Athlete jersey colors are Orange and Red.
This team is considered as one of the many proposed franchises for the Pakistan Super League. Naved Anjum is at present its coach and Kamran Akmal is its captain. The manager of the Lahore Lions is Hafeez-ur-Rehman. Founded in 2006, the team home ground, Gaddafi Stadium has a seating capacity of 62,645 people.
The team has won till date many games, and some of the games include the ABN-AMRO Cup final in 2005, when Lahore Lions team played against Sialkot Stallions defeating them at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Then, at the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup 2006-07, Lahore Lions played against Rawalpindi Rams. Lions won the toss and decided to bat, and even won by 2 runs. The man of the match was Adnan Raza. The same year, Lahore Lions enhanced their position to qualify for the finals of 2006-07 season of ABN-AMRO Cup Silver League Championship. Here, at the Gaddafi Stadium they defeated Abbottabad Rhinos by 121 runs in the third round match. In May 2009, Lahore Lions beat Faisalabad Wolves by five wickets. Later on, the team beat Quetta Bears by 74 runs.
