The combined Border and Eastern Province first class cricket team in South Africa is called as the Chevrolet Warriors or Warriors cricket team. This team participates in SuperSport series, the MTN Domestic Championship and the Standard Bank Twenty20 competition.

The Warriors team has 2 home venues. The first is the St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth. This has a capacity of 16,000. The second is the Mercedes Benz Park in East London.

Davey Jacobs is the skipper of the current team. He is a right handed batsman. Some other batsmen are as follows – Craig Thyssen, Ashwell Prince, Arno Jacobs, JJ Smuts and Colin Ingram. The bowlers are Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Juan Theron, Mario Olivier, Makhaya Ntini and Sinethemba Mjekula. The all rounders are Robin Peterson, Wayne Parnell, Justin Kreusch, Jacques Kallis, Zander de Bruyn and Johan Botha. Mark Boucher and Athenkosi Dyili are the wicket keepers.

The performance of the Warriors in the SuperSport Series in 2009 is as under –On 26th February 2009, the Warriors clashed with Highveld Lions at Sahara Oval St George’s in Port Elizabeth. This match was drawn. There was a match between Warriors and Gestetner Diamond Eagles on 5th March 2009 at Outsurance Oval, Bloemfontein. The Eagles won this match by 3 wickets. Nashua Titans competed against Chevrolet Warriors on 12th March 2009 at SuperSport Park, Centurion. This match resulted in a draw. On 26th March 2009, the Warriors competed against Nashua Dolphins at Sahara Oval St George’s, Port Elizabeth. The Warriors won this encounter by 231 runs.
