The KwaZulu Natal cricket team is also called as the Nashua Dolphins. The home ground of this team is Kingsmead in Durban which has a capacity of 25,000. This is the singular team in South Africa that has not combined with another team for the SuperSport series.
The current squad is as follows – the batsmen are Grant Rowley, Imraan Khan, Rivash Gobind, Hashim Amla, HD Ackerman and Ahmed Amla. The bowlers are Alfonso Thomas, Saidi Mlongo, Johann Louw, Ugasen Govender, Quinton Friend and Yusuf Abdullah. The all rounders are Daryn Smit, David Miller, Bradley Barnes, Morne van Vuuren, Jon Kent, Pierre de Bruyn and Sanath Jayasuriya.
Dolphins defeated the Titans by 38 runs on 9th April 2008 at Durban. The Dolphins scored 131 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs, whereas the Titans were all out for 93 in 18 overs.
In the 1st semi-final of the Standard Bank Pro 20 series 2007-08, the contesting teams were Dolphins and Eagles. This semi-final was played on 18th April 2008. Eagles managed to score 114 runs in 20 overs. The Dolphins scored 115 runs for 5 wickets in 18.3 overs and won the match by 5 wickets with 9 deliveries to spare.

On 11th April 2008, there was a match between Dolphins and Lions at Johannesburg. The Lions scored 104 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. The Dolphins replied with 105 runs for 5 wickets in 17.1 overs. Thus, the Dolphins won by 5 wickets with 17 deliveries to spare.
The Dolphins progressed into the final of the Standard Bank Pro 20 series in 2007-08. Unfortunately, they could not win the trophy. The Titans scored 153 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. The Dolphins could reply with only 135 runs for 10 wickets in 19.1 overs. Thus, the Dolphins lost by 18 runs.

In the SuperSport Series, it has shared the trophy twice in 2005-06 and 2004-05.
