Lokuge Dinesh Chandimal is a Sri Lankan international cricket player who has played first class cricket for Nondescripts and Ruhuna cricket club. He is a right hand batsman and also a wicket keeper, having scored 64 centuries and 109 in his first three innings for the Sri Lanka Cricket Development XI. At the recent IPL player’s auction, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.
This aggressive batsman and keeper even scored two centuries for U19 Sri Lankan cricket team, in which he played as a vice captain of the team. Other teams that he had been a part of include the Sri Lanka Cricket XI and Schools Invitation XI.
Post his match against New Zealand in a Twenty20 match in Florida, Dinesh got selected for an ODI tri-series in Zimbabwe. He made his debut against Zimbabwe, scoring ten as his side cruised to 9 wicket victory and then he eventually registered his maiden international century, scoring 111 runs in 118 balls against India. This way, he became the youngest Sri Lankan to have scored an ODI century.

Dinesh made his test debut in December 2011 for Sri Lanka in the second test of the series held against South Africa in Durban. Moreover, he even made half centuries in each of the innings.
