Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane can be mentioned as a right-handed cricketer playing for Mumbai Indians. The teams of which he has been a member include India Blue, and Mumbai. At present, he is a part of the Rajasthan Royals team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

Ajinkya Rahane made his debut in cricket through First-Class match held at Karachi against Karachi Urban on 8th of September, 2007. In the first innings, Ajinkya could make 143 runs in 207 balls; which included 16 boundaries. The match, however, went in to a ‘draw’. As far as IPL, i.e. Indian Premier League concerned, Rahane played his most recent match on the Twenty20 match held on 29th of April, 2008; wherein Mumbai Indians had defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets. Rahane had made 4 runs in 10 balls in this match. He and Jayasuriya were also utterly successful in getting Ponting ‘run out’. At the 38th victory of Mumbai in Ranji trophy, Ajinkya was the key player in this final. He also enjoys the credit of having scored 1000 runs in single ‘Ranji Season’.
