Abhishek Mohan Nayar can be described as a cricketer bought by Mumbai franchise of IPL in 2008. As such, he is one amongst ‘Mumbai Indians’. Prior to that, he has also played for Mumbai, Mumbai Cricket Association President’s XI, and India Green. In 2011, he was selected by the Kings XI Punjab and has been retained by this team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012 too.

Abhishek made his debut in First-Class cricket on 25th of December, 2005 at Mumbai. This match was held between Tamil Nadu and Mumbai. Mumbai achieved a whooping 9-wicket victory in this match. In the first innings, Abhishek made 21 runs in 67 balls. He also picked up 2 wickets by giving 46 runs. In the second innings, Mayer managed to capture 3 wickets. He has been utterly successful so far in obtaining breakthroughs at the nick of the time for his team. In final of this year’s Ranji Trophy, Nayar added significant 99 runs which helped Mumbai in attaining its 38th victory.
