Sohail Tanvir

Sohail Tanvir, apart from being a left-handed batsman, has a unique style of bowling. This style is ‘Left-arm medium-fast, and slow left-arm orthodox’. He is one amongst those 11 players of Pakistan cricket team. Apart from this, he is also a member of the teams of Rawalpindi Region, Rawalpindi Rams, Rawalpindi, and Rajasthan Royals.

Sohail Tanvir went on to make his debut as a cricket player on 18th of October, 2007 at Lahore in an ODI held against South Africa. He was successful in getting a wicket in this match. If batting is to be seen, Sohail Tanvir could make 26 runs in 17 balls, inclusive of a boundary and 2 sixers. South Africa happened to win that match by 45 runs. In the next month, he moved a step further by making his debut in test Cricket at Delhi against India. In the first innings, Sohail set a fantastic record- by obtaining 3 wickets! However, in the second innings, he couldn’t manage the wicket; but could bowl four maiden overs.

As of now, in 29 ODIs, Tanvir has obtained 44 wickets. The highest score till date has been ‘54’. Total number of runs scored is ‘162’.
