Luke James Wright is a right arm medium bowler and right handed batsman in the England cricket team. He has also played for Sussex, Leicestershire Cricket Board, Leicestershire, England Under-19s and England Lions. Presently, he is part of the Pune Warriors India team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.
In One day Internationals, Luke Wright debuted on 5th September 2007 at The Oval in London against India. He was the No. 7 batsman and he scored 50 runs in only 39 deliveries inclusive of 7 fours and 1 sixer. India was triumphant in this match by 2 wickets with 2 balls to spare. Wright’s Twenty20 International debut took place against Zimbabwe at Cape Town (Newlands) on 13th September 2007. He was assigned the No. 3 batting spot but was out on the very first ball he faced.
