Corey Collymore
Corey Dalanelo Collymore is a cricketer from Barbados, West Indies whose speciality is his seam bowling. Currently he is one of the most experienced bowlers in the West Indian side. He has special qualities like a high work rate and knowledge of putting the ball in the right place which are very useful. His bowling action is a bit open chested which does not allow him to get the maximum amount of movement which he can extract. Collymore often shares the new ball with youngsters like Fidel Edwards who is his childhood friend.
After his debut in 1999 Collymore has sometimes been included while sometimes excluded in the team due to injury and form. In 2000 after the West Indies tour of England many people had written him off. However he came back strongly and was a part of the West Indies World Cup team in 2003. During Sri Lanka's tour of the West Indies Collymore was recalled in the Test team. He led the bowling with figures of 7 for 57 and West Indies won by seven wickets.
In 2006 when India toured the West Indies Collymore exhibited a matured approach and precision with the ball. During this series he has an economy rate of 2.33 which was much better than the wayward young bowlers. In 2006-07 he did not play much International Cricket but just ahead of the World Cup he picked up six wickets against Jamaica in the Carib series.
Collymore maintained a speed of around 90 mph however due to a back injury currently he averages from 75 to 79 mph.

Collymore has played 30 tests in which he has taken 93 wickets at an average of 32.30 and he has played 84 ODIs in which he has taken 83 wickets at an average of 35.22.
