Gautam Muralidharen

C Muralidharen Gautam is an Indian professional Cricketer. He was born on 8th march 1986 in Bangalore Karnataka. He is a right hand batsman and a wicketkeeper. Moreover, he has been chosen to play at the IPL 5 season, to be a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Gautam has played his domestic cricket for the Karnataka XI. AB de Villiers is the current wicketkeeper batsman keeping wickets for the RCB team but Muralidharen has been selected as a standby or an alternative to AB de Villiers.

He debuted against the Uttar Pradesh team on 12th December 2008 and from then he has been continuously playing for the Karnataka side. He has shown a great promise at the domestic level where he has played 22 first class matches and made 1322 runs at a healthy average of 44.06. His highest individual score is 158 runs. In these same matches he has taken a total of 64 catches and also has a stumping behind his name.

Till now he has not got an opportunity to appear in the playing XI of the RCB team but definitely Muralidharen would be looking forward towards the opportunity laid down by the selection committee of the team.
