As it stands, after semi-final playoffs, Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat will face each other in the final of Big Bash league tomorrow, at Perth. The venue is quite fitting for an enthralling contest, as the Scorchers will be playing at home.
Both the teams, have seen ups and downs during the league matches, and are looking for a more clinical finish to the tournament. In order to achieve this, both, Scorchers and Heat would be relying on the players, who have gained form with the progression of the tournament.
For the Brisbane Heat, Luke Pomersbach would be the trump card, considering his batting form. They will be hoping that he fires tomorrow as well. Other players are likely to play a supporting role bearing in mind, his batting form.
In the bowling department, Kemar Roach, and Ben Cutting would take on the fast bowling role, while James Hopes and Daniel Christian will come in as handy medium pacers. Moreover, some decent spinners will provide more variety to the attack.
On paper, Scorchers appear to be a more balanced side, with their mix of international and young stars.
Shaun Marsh would be the go to man for the Scorchers in the batting department, again. He is the leading run scorer in the tournament, and he will be looking to increase his tally in the upcoming contest as well.
However, Michael Hussey and Adam Voges, strengthen the batting line-up further and make Scorchers much more balanced in the batting department.
In the bowling section, Scorchers will be hoping that Alfonso Thomas and Brad Hogg, their two experienced men, will step up and deliver the goods at this crucial stage.
The pitch is expected to be a typical WACA one, with pace and bounce. Not much in it when it comes to the toss, all will depend on the strategy both teams come up with.
Tomorrow, another likely thrilling event of the Australian Summer is expected, and tomorrow will mark the end of yet another successful season of the Big Bash League as well.
