A T20 match lasts roughly three and a half hours and would expect plenty of tension and anticipation during that time period for both teams.

A T20 match lasts roughly three and a half hours and would expect plenty of tension and anticipation during that time period for both teams.

Rarely comes a situation where the two teams endure four tough hours of build up before taking the field. Delhi Daredevils and Titans will experience the same as they wait for their match with an eye on the outcome of the Auckland-Scorchers game preceding it.

It all depends on whether Auckland can pull off a win in their game or not. Should they do it, the evening match will become quite meaningful with Delhi, Auckland and Titans all in the mix for the two semi-final spots.

Daredevils will then need two points at least to go through. They may sneak in even in case of a defeat thanks to their imposing wins in the two matches.

Titans will be in greater danger as they would require a win to definitely go through while two points will tie them equal with Auckland, leaving it to the net run rate. A loss for Titans following victory for Auckland will knock the South African side out.

For their part, Auckland can do what is in their control. The 99-run loss to Kolkata was definitely not the sort of performance they were expected to give and need to lift themselves again.

Coach Matthew Maynard hopes that Scorchers will be able to beat Auckland but warned his side to still remain prepared for Delhi, the most complete side in the tournament as he said.

Delhi Daredevils have rightly been called that, with the strong form they have shown so far. The skipper, Mahela Jayawardene, has plenty of options at his disposal and will be hoping that Kevin Pietersen is able to strike some form ahead of the bigger matches that await them. Irfan Pathan and Morne Morkel also make for an all-round bowling attack.

The match will be played in Cape Town.
