It is a clash of teams at the opposite ends of the points table as Deccan Chargers host Rajasthan Royals in the 20th match of the Indian Premier League on Tuesday. Rajasthan could go to the top of the table if they win this one while the Chargers need to still open their account.

Deccan Chargers have been missing from action lately, with their last match being no less than eight days ago. Although they have defeats from as many matches, captain Kumar Sangakkara will be hoping that the week-long break has given them ample time to devise plans to resurrect their campaign and register their first win.

In their last match, their batsmen struggled against a tidy bowling performance by Mumbai Indians. Shikhar Dhawan showed glimpses of his aggression with a 24-ball 41 while Cameron White played his cameo innings too, the rest of the batsmen struggled to post a competitive total.

The bowlers, their weaker link, felt largely exposed as a result barring Dale Steyn who will once again lead the attack with his pace and hoping to trouble the batsmen by pitching the ball up.

Rajasthan Royals managed to make a solid comeback after twin defeats had rocked their season. Their last match though ended in a convincing 59-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore, giving them six points from five match to go top of the table.

Ajinkya Rahane is a threat after becoming the leading run scorer this season on his way to his maiden IPL century. Owais Shah is finally coming good in the IPL as he scored a quickfire 60 off just 26 balls. The bowlers have also not been behind despite being the weaker department.

Siddarth Trivedi picked up four wickets while Kevon Cooper and Shaun Tait’s injuries have also brought out good results from Amit Singh and Pankaj Singh as both picked up two wickets each against Bangalore.

The match will be played in Jaipur, starting at 4.00pm local time.
