Daisy Ocasio is a female boxer and a well known Puerto Rican athlete. Aside from being a boxer, Ocasio is a known participant of track and field races as well as a number of marathons. Ocasio was born on November 3, 1964 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.

Before joining the boxing world, Ocasio had already established a career in running, holding various records at many international races. In 1991, she even participated as a track and field runner for the Puerto Rico at the Havana, Cuba Pan American Games. She was also able to participate at Olympics, however, there has been no record any victories or results during that participation.

In the 1990s, much of Ocasio’s career was focused in running, which is why many of her photos could be seen in publications during that time. Way into the late 1990s, Ocasio continued to run and win races, leading many Puerto Ricans to identify with her.

However, despite being one of the most important runners in the country, Ocasio shocked her fans by announcing her plans of becoming a boxer, and even making a debut into the boxing world on July 23, 1998. During her debut fight, she defeated Andrea Figueroa via knockout in two rounds. Nineteen days later, she defeated Lizette Pizarro via knockout in the first round as well.

Throughout her career, Ocasio has been in 6 fights with 5 wins, 3 via knockout, and 1 defeat.
