She followed this up with another victory against Teara Anne Sanders on January 1998. On June the same year she won a four round unanimous decision over her cross-town rival Heidi Tibe and the following August she fought IBF welterweight world champion Diana Dutra at the Tropicana and won with a six round unanimous decision.
On September 23, 1998 she went into the ring to face a much heavier opponent in Glenda Watkins from Lima, Ohio and used her trademark jab style to win the match with a six round unanimous decision.
In January 1999 Fox suffered her only career loss against Frieda Gibbs in Las Vegas but she followed this up with a victory against Leah Mellinger to win the IFBA Junior Welterweight Title.
Fox announced her retirement from the sport in 2000, saying that because she has finally achieved her dream of becoming a world champion; her next focus would be her family and her Subway franchise.
