She competes primarily in the Mini Flyweight and Light Flyweight divisions. She fights from an orthodox position and is known for her high work rate and aggressive pressure style. Before turning professional, Bormann had an extensive and decorated amateur career with the German Boxing Association (DBV).

She competed in over 121 amateur fights, was a four-time German National Champion, and served as a member of the German National Squad from 2010 to 2017.

Career

Bormann began her professional campaign in December 2017. She quickly established herself as a force in Europe, collecting numerous regional and minor world titles, including the WIBF, GBU, and IBO belts.

She remained undefeated for the first six years of her career, defending her titles against opponents from across the globe.

In December 2023, Bormann faced the toughest test of her career when she challenged the unified champion Yesica Nery Plata for the WBC and WBA Light Flyweight titles. Fighting in Karlsruhe, Bormann suffered a competitive split decision loss, the first and only defeat on her record.

Undeterred, Bormann returned to the Mini Flyweight division to rebuild. She captured the vacant WBO Mini-Flyweight World Title in December 2024 with a unanimous decision victory over Jennifer Sabrina Meza. She successfully defended this title against Isabel Rivero in April 2025.

In October 2025, Bormann achieved unified champion status in a high-stakes bout against Japanese star Yuko Kuroki in Hamburg. In a gritty and closely contested fight that saw Bormann overcome a severe cut from a head clash, she secured a split decision victory to add the WBA Mini-Flyweight World Title to her collection.
