Terri Leigh Harper was born on November 2, 1996, in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England. The British fighter is 174 cm tall and has a wingspan of 165 cm.She has competed in multiple weight classes, ranging from Super featherweight to Super Welterweight. She fought from an orthodox position and made history as the first British female boxer to win a WBC World title. She stepped away from the sport as a teenager to work in a chip shop before returning to achieve global success.
Career
Harper began her professional campaign in November 2017 with a points victory over Monika Antonik. She quickly ascended the ranks, capturing the WBC Super Featherweight World Title in February 2020 by defeating Eva Wahlström via unanimous decision.After defending the belt against Natasha Jonas and Katharina Thanderz, she lost the title in a stunning knockout defeat to Alycia Baumgardner in November 2021.
Demonstrating remarkable versatility, Harper moved up three weight classes to Super Welterweight.
In September 2022, she defeated Hannah Rankin by unanimous decision to win the WBA and IBO Super Welterweight World Titles. She successfully defended these belts against Ivana Habazin and fought to a draw with legendary champion Cecilia Braehus in October 2023.
In 2024, Harper dropped down to the lightweight division to chase history. After an unsuccessful challenge for a Welterweight title earlier in the year, she defeated Rhiannon Dixon in September 2024 via unanimous decision to capture the WBO Lightweight World Title, becoming a three-weight world champion.
She successfully defended her lightweight crown in May 2025 with a unanimous decision victory over Natalie Zimmermann in her hometown of Doncaster.
