He captured the vacant WBO Interim Light-Middleweight title in March 2023 with a TKO victory against Tony Harrison. He was elevated to full WBO Champion in September 2023 and successfully defended the title against Brian Mendoza.

Tszyu's undefeated record ended in a rivalry with Sebastian Fundora. In March 2024, Tszyu lost his title to Fundora via split decision. He subsequently lost a bout for the IBF title against Bakhram Murtazaliev in October 2024, and a rematch against Fundora in July 2025.
