Steven Luevano is a Mexican-American professional boxer in the Featherweight division. He was born on March 3, 1981 at Los Angeles, California, United States. He stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and has a reach of 69 inches.

Luevano turned pro in 2000 and has had 35 wins (with 15 Knockouts), 1 loss, and 1 drawn, totaling 37 fights over the years. Despite the fact that he was born in the United States, Luevano comes to the ring under the Mexican flag - therefore he is noted to be a Mexican boxer.

He had his first fight in June 17, 2000, which he won against Hugo Elacio Rosales. Two months later, he won his second fight in his career, defeating Joseph Salazar at the Community Center, Tucson, Arizona. His winning streak then went on until 2005, where in November 25 of that year, he tasted his first defeat at the hands of Martin Honorio by unanimous decision.

He currently holds the WBO Featherweight Title by defeating Nicky Cook on July 14, 2007 by Knockout. He defended his Featherweight title for the first time on October 6, 2007 against 35-year-old Antonio "T-Rex" Davis on an undercard match of the Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera fight.

On March 15th of 2008, Luevano had once again defended his title by brilliantly defeating Tersdak Jandaeng of Thailand by unanimous decision. It was during this fight that Luevano set the Featherweight boxing record for the most jabs landed.

Once again, after these victories against Antonio Davis and Tersdak Jandaeng, Luevano defended his title against Mario Santiago in an undercard fight on the David Diaz versus Manny Pacquiao fight on June 28, 2008. He managed to retain his belt, but almost lost, through a split draw with Santiago.
