Offensive foul is a kind of foul that happens when there is an illegal contact made by the player of the offensive team.
The player who committed an offensive foul is charged with a personal foul and his team loses the possession of the ball. A team is not often called alongside an offensive foul.
The offensive team is the team that is currently in possession of the ball. After an offensive foul, the ball’s possession is awarded to the opposing team. No free throws are awarded during an offensive foul.
