Lotos Gdynia
Lotos Gdyniaimage:Lotos Gdynia |Lotos Gdynia also known by the name, Lotos VBW Clima Gdynia, is a Polish women basketball team. This team is entirely based in Gdynia which is playing in PLKK. The team is also the inheritor of the Spojnii Gdansk tradition, the club which formed in 1946. The sixties and seventies was successful time for Spojnii team.
In 1968, Ladislas Markowski the coach led this team and won the first even Polish Championship bronze medal for the club. The following year, the team won second place which was repeated the next year. However, Ladislas left the club and he was replaced by John Florkowski.
In spite of staff shortages in 1974, the team won their bronze medal. During this period, the coach and the manager of the team was Felski Zbigniew Krawczyk Mieczyslaw, which is the current CEO of the team. Since the inclusion of foreign players of Polish league like Catherine Malfois from France, the club has become a strong team.
In 1978-81, the team had successful basketball players. They won in a row four titles.
