The Washington Huskies men’s basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team. This athletic basketball team competes in the Pac-10 Conference with home games being played at Bank of American Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. This Pavilion is situated on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. This is a team that is more popularly known as one of the worst teams in Washington and is far behind the Washington State Cougars.

Lorenzo Romar is the head coach with Raphael Chillious, Paul Fortier and Jim Shaw being the assistant coaches. The Director of the Basketball Operations is Lance LaVetter. The team, Washington Huskies includes another team which was selected by a fan vote in 2002, which is named as the All-Century basketball team. The Husky fans filled out the ballots whilst attending the games at the Bank of America Arena, where the Washington Huskies play basketball. The fans also voted through the school’s website.

In 2006-07 season, the Washington Huskies basketball program wavered. After many previous successive seasons, the team didn’t appear in the NIT due to only one road win to their account. Late season saw this team achieving success by beating Oregon, which was a number 7 team and UCLA, fourth number team, both at home. However, the Huskies suffered their most embarrassing loss of the season by losing 47-75 to their in state rival, the Washington State Cougars team. After the Huskies team lost this game in the Pac 10 Tournament, they dropped five games in a row to their rival team. However, this team has rebuilt its skills and has started to meet the expectations of the fans from 2007-08 season.
