After being selected by the San Francisco Warriors in the 1970 NBA Draft, Bartolome began his professional career in Italy with Libertas Livorno (1970-1971).He then played one season in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors (1971-1972), appearing in 38 games.
He later continued his career in the Netherlands, playing for the Zandvoort Lions (1974-1975) and Leiden (1976-1978). With Leiden, he won the Dutch National Championship in 1978. While in the Netherlands, he earned DBL All-Star honors in 1975 and was named to the DBL All-Defensive Team in 1977.
