Randy Allen

Randy Allen is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association for 1 season for the Sacramento Kings and various international leagues. He earned CBA Newcomer of the Year honors in 1988 before making his way to the NBA.

High School and College Career

Allen attended Milton High School in Milton, Florida. He then played college basketball at Florida State University from 1983 to 1987.

Professional Career

Randy Allen's professional career began in 1987 with the Tampa Bay Stars, followed by a season with Imbelco. He then played for the Cedar Rapids Silver Bullets before making it to the NBA with the Sacramento Kings in 1989-1990.

After his NBA stint, Allen played extensively in Europe, starting with Fulgor Libertas Forlì in Italy. He had a brief period with the Albany Patroons before moving to Spain to play for CB Breogán.

He then played for Cholet Basket in France and returned to Spain with CB Girona.

The latter part of his career included stops at Pallacanestro Pavia in Italy, two American teams (Harrisburg Hammerheads and Omaha Racers), and concluded his career with CB Peñas Huesca in Spain in 1996.

His career showcased his ability to adapt to different leagues and countries, playing professionally in the United States, Italy, Spain, and France.
