Lance Allred is an American-Mexican former professional basketball player who made history as the first legally deaf player to play in the National Basketball Association. He had a short stint in the NBA with Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Idaho Stampede of the NBA G-league. Despite having 75-80% hearing loss from birth due to Rh complications, he achieved his dream of playing professional basketball.

Allred's professional career began in 2005 after going undrafted. He started in France with SPO Rouen Basket, followed by stints at JL Bourg-en-Bresse and Club Bàsquet Llíria in Spain.He found success in the NBA D-League with the Idaho Stampede, earning All-Star honors in 2008 and 2009. His performance led to a historic moment when he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008, becoming the NBA's first legally deaf player.
He continued to play for the Idaho Stampede between international assignments.
His international career was extensive, including stops in Italy (Scavolini Pesaro), Greece (Maroussi Athens), Venezuela (Trotamundos de Carabobo), New Zealand (Otago Nuggets), Japan (Kyoto Hannaryz, where he was named a BJ-League All-Star in 2012), Mexico (Fuerza Regia, Halcones de Xalapa), Qatar (Al Rayyan Doha), and Puerto Rico (Leones de Ponce).
He was a three-time LNBP All-Star (2013-2015) during his time in Mexico. Throughout his career, he wore number 41 while playing both power forward and center positions.
