Andre Miller is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He has played for several NBA teams, including the Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, and the San Antonio Spurs. As of 2022, he is the head coach for the Grand Rapids Gold in the NBA G League.

Player Profile and High School and College Career

Andre Lloyd Miller was born on March 19, 1976, in Los Angeles, California in the United States. He stands 191 cm tall and his weight was listed at 91 kg.

He attended the Verbum Dei High School in Los Angeles where he was coached by Mike Kearney. He later played collegiate basketball for the University of Utah where he played from 1995 to 1999.

While in college, he was named the 1998 and 1999 First-team All-WAC. In 1999, he was named the WAC Player of the Year.

Professional Career

Miller was drafted into the NBA during the 1999 NBA Draft. He was picked 8th overall in the first round, chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played with the Cavaliers from 1999 to 2002. In his first year with the team, he was named to the 2000 NBA All-Rookie First Team. In 2002, he led the league in assists.

He was traded by the Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Clippers, and he played with the team from 2002 to 2003. In August 2003, he signed with the Denver Nuggets. He played with the team through to the 2006 season. From 2006 to 2009, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.

In 2009, he played with the Portland Trail Blazers. In 2011, he returned to playing for the Nuggets and stayed with the team through 2014. In the 2014-2015 season, he played with the Washington Wizards. The following season, he played with the Minnesota Timberwolves. They waived him in February 2016. In the same month, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs was the last team he played with in the NBA.
