Jarrett Matthew Jack is a former professional basketball player hailing from the United States of America and played as a point guard. Jack had a torrid high school career as he played his four years in four different schools. Jack went to the DeMatha Catholic High School in his freshman year, followed by the St. Vincent Pallotti for his sophomore year, the Mount Zion Academy in his junior year and finally the Worcester Academy for his senior year, where he teamed up with Craig Smith.

Jack went on to attend Georgia Tech and after a sober freshman season, broke out in his sophomore year, guiding the team to the finals of the NCAA tournament with 12.5 points and 5.1 assists per game. In his junior and senior years, Jack’s combined averages stood at 15.5 points per game with 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

At the 2005 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets picked Jack at 22nd overall, and on the same night, traded him out to the Portland Trail Blazers. Jack spent most of the season as a backup to Steve Blake and Sebastian Telfair. Once Blake and Telfair were traded out to Milwaukee and Boston respectively, Jack became the sole contender for the starting point guard role and his numbers started running up by 2007.

However, Steve Blake returned in 2007-08 and pushed Jack into the sixth man role again. At the end of the 2007-08 season, Jack was traded out to the Indiana Pacers where he stayed for a year before moving out to the Toronto Raptors on a 4-year, $20 million deal.
